The Van ISD Education Foundation:

 

• is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit tax exempt-philanthropic organization of citizens founded in 2001

• works to increase private support for educational activities in Van ISD

• benefits Van ISD students and staff by supporting activities not funded by tax dollars

• fosters creative approaches to education through private grants and involvement

• awards Foundation funds for grants and scholarships through a volunteer Board of Directors made up of business, community and educational leaders

 

The Van Independent School District has developed an exceptional educational program that provides all students with enrichment, acceleration and attention to special needs. Supporting excellent educational programs requires up to date technology, learning laboratories, cultural experiences, and resource materials to prepare our students for the competitive marketplace they will eventually enter requires a substantial investment but the investment in our children is more than worth it.

 

In the state’s economy, the majority of school districts no longer have discretionary funds for services and activities that exceed minimum needs and requirements. The situation calls for finding new resources to assist in building and increasing excellence and that is where you can help! Your donation is an investment in the lives of our students.
